The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding of the background and concepts of Fuel Tank Safety; an awareness of the hazards of Fuel Tank System maintenance and the improvements being made in maintenance procedures.

The AA-47 course is designed for unlicensed and licensed employees, junior maintenance managers and supervisors in the aviation industry who wish to perform or are performing fuel tank and fuel system component aircraft maintenance related activities within Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisations.

This training satisfies Phase 1, Phase 2 and continuation requirements under EASA and CASR 145.A.30 – Personnel Requirements, where the AMO must ensure that individual personnel meet the standards for a task that they are authorised to perform. As laid out in 145.A.30 of the EASA and CASA Part 145 regulations, this is mandatory training for all personnel involved in any maintenance, management and/or quality auditing.
