The Certificate II in Autonomous Technologies (1035NAT) introduces students to the cutting-edge world of autonomous systems. This qualification equips you with essential knowledge in software, hardware, and advanced technologies, placing a strong emphasis on innovation and problem-solving. You’ll develop expertise in areas like networking, programming, the Internet of Things (IoT), autonomy, and robotics, including hands-on experience with electrical control circuits, fluid power, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
Beyond technical skills, this course provides vital training in safety, communication, and industry standards, preparing you for a diverse range of career opportunities. With a focus on real-world applications and lifelong learning, this program offers a pathway to further education in technical, engineering, trade, and ICT fields, meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving sector in autonomous technologies.
Domestic Students
Students may access only one VETiS funded course in High School. Aviation Australia will assist in assessing the eligibility of students.

No previous drone/RPAS flying experience is required to undertake our course.
The theoretical content is aimed at a level of knowledge and comprehension of a person that has completed year 10. The minimum age we will accept on a course is 15.
Any person aged under 18 will also require permission from a parent or guardian to attend.

Aviation Australia offers the opportunity to have recognition of prior learning (RPL) of previous studies, qualifications and experience assessed for certification against the Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) AVI30419. You will receive an RPL report which will provide you with any skills recognised and any additional training and/or evidence you may need to meet the requirements of the qualification.
