Aviation Australia has delivered certified remote pilot training in partnership with our training division Remote Aviation (CASA.ReOC.1006 training approval) to over a thousand remote pilots across Australia.   • Online – 80 hours of pre self-study training
  • Theory – 3 days
  • Practical – 4 days


The Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) AVI30419 provides you with important training to legally operate a remotely piloted aircraft. It will also allow you to fly without many of the weight or operating restrictions applied to recreational users.

*Funding is available for this qualification for eligible applicants. Co-Contribution Fees are required to be charged under the Certificate 3 Guarantee program.

Our Remote Pilot Course has been designed in line with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority RePL manual of standards which governs RPA/UAV knowledge and flight standards across Australia.

Training in Schools

Aviation Australia is approved by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training as a Skills Assure Supplier to deliver the Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) AVI30419 through the VET in Schools (VETiS) program.

Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) is funded by the VET investment budget and is fee-free for eligible students.
