Our Career Starter courses offer different pathways to suit your individual circumstances and goals. These are divided into 2 core categories; Pre-apprentice and Apprentice / Trainee.

Pre-apprenticeship, delivers the essential underpinning vocational theory training towards the Certificate IV in Aeroskills (in Mechanical, Structures or Avionics).

Apprenticeship / Traineeship, An apprenticeship is a learning pathway that combines on the job training and formal training in a qualification with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). You will need to be employed in the industry to enrol in one of these courses.

Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) MEA40718

Targeted at students who want to fast-track their learning towards becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical. Learn how to maintain jet engines, complex aircraft systems and electrical systems.

Targeted at students who want to fast-track their learning towards becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics. If your interests centre on computers, electronics and electrical control systems, then this is a natural choice for you, as aircraft avionics systems are amongst the most technologically sophisticated and advanced in the world.

Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) MEA41322 (Formally MEA41318)

This is a hybrid course targeted at students who want to fast-track their learning towards becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical and Structures. This covers the full elements of the mechanical trade stream as well as elective units from the structures trade stream. This is the perfect course for you if your passion is for the mechanics of engines, airframes and associated aircraft systems.

Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – TB1 Mechanical (11064NAT)

This course is targeted at international students wishing to study in Australia to gain an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence outcome. Students learn the skills to maintain jet engines, brake and undercarriage systems, structural components, cabin pressurisation, fuel and pneumatic components, flight controls, hydraulics and much more.

Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering – TB2 Avionics (11065NAT)

This course is targeted at international students wishing to study in Australia to gain an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence outcome. Students study avionics and electrical control systems within an aircraft as well as the repair and maintenance processes that apply to these systems.

Category B2 Avionics Extension Course (Expression of Interest)

If you have successfully completed and received an EASA Category B1 Mechanical Certificate of Recognition for the Approved Course, you may choose to broaden your skills by enrolling in the Category B2 Avionics Extension course.
