To support your enrolment and visa applications, you will work with one of Aviation Australia’s registered partners in Sri Lanka. There may also be additional requirements, such as a financial capacity assessment and pre-enrolment interview.

Applicants are also encouraged to review the Department of Home Affairs” Document Checklist Tool to determine what documentation might be required to support a student visa application. The Department’s requirements may be above and beyond what is required to support your application for enrolment.

‣ English Language Proficiency:
The minimum requirements is an Academic IELTS with 6.0 overall and with no sub-band score lesser than 5.5. Testing must have been completed within 2 years from the enrolment application date.

If your country is not on this list, you must supply an Academic IELTS or an equivalent test (from the approved list). Please contact us prior to submitting your application to discuss your eligibility if you are unsure.

‣ Academic Suitability
Evidence of completion of Year 12, or an approved equivalent, with a pass in Mathematics (at minimum Year 10 or equivalent). Where an applicant does not meet these requirements, Aviation Australia may consider sufficient relevant work experience (documented via a resume and referees) and/or a successfully completed higher level qualification that demonstrates academic suitability.

‣ Minimum of 17 years of age:
Applicants under the age of 18 may be accepted where it is demonstrated approved welfare arrangements will be maintained whilst the student is under the age of 18. This arrangement requires an approval of the Department of Home Affairs.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must co-sign this application form. An agent cannot do co-sign in place of a parent or legal guardian.

‣ Genuine Student (GS) Assessment:
Applicants must complete the Genuine Student questionnaire within the application form to be considered for an enrolment. Applicants must ensure with research the intended course of study as well as their rights and responsibilities as a future student visa holder in Australia.
International students are required to show evidence that they meet the Department of Home Affairs’ Genuine Student requirements when applying for a student visa.

‣ Current Valid Passport:
The applicant’s passport must be current and valid for at least 6 months from the course commencement date.

‣ Documentation Requirements:
- All documentation supplied must be certified and translated (in full) to English. Please refer to the front page of the application form for more details.
- A certified copy is a copy of an original document that has been witnessed and declared as true copy by an authorised person.
- These services can be provided by Aviation Australia’s registered partners, NAATI certified translators, Justice of Peace and notaries public.
- Aviation Australia will not accept any documents that are not translated or stamped by a certified translator.
Applications submitted with uncertified documents will not be processed.
