Seasons Greetings: Aviation Australia will be closed from December 23, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
Kristan joined NT Government funded Aviation Australia Cabin Crew Preparation course in Darwin. It helped him get prepared for the ground school at Alliance Airlines and helped him progress his career as a Cabin Crew.
“Aviation Australia gave me all the tools necessary to go for my dream. I am very grateful for the opportunities that have been given to me as a result of the NT Government funding. It prepared me for my ground school at Alliance Airlines and made me more confident in myself.
The course was joyful, challenging and engaging. Whether practicing our evacuation drills or learning emergency equipment, everyone supported each other and created a fantastic place to be. The teaching style was very interactive and allowed us to grasp various topics while having fun.
People fly for all different reasons. Sometimes I take passengers home from work. Other times I’m helping to make someone’s anniversary. However, sometimes people fly for less desirable reasons. I’ve comforted and listened to someone grieving from a loss. When they opened up to me, they wanted someone to listen to them. You would be surprised just how much asking someone if they are ok can mean. I’m grateful for the trust they put in me and the chance to be of some comfort.
Alliance Airlines has allowed me to connect with many new people and makes me look forward to working. Working for Alliance isn’t how you would expect for a big company. The work culture epitomises that of a family.”
