Utilising state-of-the-art borescope equipment, the training covers a wide variety of maintenance inspections on training aids, aircraft and engines.
The course is a blended training solution of instructor-led theory, and instructor-led practical training and assessment.
Course participants must complete a minimum of 20 hours of practical on-the-job experience and must complete a Journal of Experience (JOE) in their respective workplace.
The course is delivered over 3 days with comprehensive pre-course reading material that must be read prior to commencement of training.

This course is intended to provide basic training in borescope inspection, to perform borescope inspection maintenance tasks. Further training on the specific borescope equipment utilised by your company will be required in the workplace.
Pre-Requisites:
Nil. Course is open to anyone of any trade background who requires borescope inspection basic training.
Outcome:
For the MEAMEC0053 – Perform borescope inspections Unit of Competency (UOC) to be issued on a Statement of Attainment, candidates must provide a certified copy of:
MEAMEC0053 is used in workplaces that operate under the airworthiness regulatory systems of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and the Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA). Any other relevant legislation, industry standards and codes of practice within Australia must be applied.
NOTE: If the Outcome requirements above have not been met upon completion of the course, a Certificate of Completion will be issued.
