Composite Repair Techniques (AA-63)

MEASTR0002 (formally MEA405) is increasingly in demand within industry to demonstrate competency and improve skills and of maintenance personnel in the repair of aircraft composites.

This course is for aircraft maintenance engineers to cover the theory and practical requirement against Unit of Competency MEASTR0002 Repair/modify aircraft composite material structure/components. This qualification allows individuals to be approved as a ‘specially qualified person’ to perform composite structure maintenance within a CAR 30 Maintenance Organisation, or specialist maintenance task/processes in a CASR Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO).

*A deposit of $500 will be required at time of enrolment, with the balance of fees due prior to course commencement.

The course is a blended training solution of pre-course online theory study and assessment via our learning management system and 10 days practical training & assessment.

A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment will be conducted for the MEA units of competency relating to this course, upon enrolment.

Must hold an AQF qualification unit of competency MEA401 Inspect Aircraft Structure or a CASR Part 66 B1 Licence. AQF Statement of Attainment showing MEA units of competency held and/or CASR Part 66 B1 Licence must be uploaded at time of enrolment.

MEA401 – Inspect Aircraft Structure is a prerequisite for being awarded MEA405. If you do not yet hold MEA401 please contact us for details on how to attain it.
