Composite Repair Techniques (AA-63)

The course is intended for qualified aircraft maintenance engineers to train in the repair techniques of aircraft composites so that they can be approved as a “specially qualified person” in order to perform composite structure maintenance of specified aircraft within a CAR 30 Maintenance Organisation or, specialist maintenance task/processes in a CASR Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO).

The course is a blended training solution of pre-course online theory study and assessment via our learning management system and 10 days practical training & assessment.

A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment will be conducted for the MEA units of competency relating to this course, upon enrolment.

Must hold an AQF qualification containing MEA units of competency or a CASR Part 66 B1 Licence. AQF Statement of Attainment showing MEA units of competency held and/or CASR Part 66 B1 Licence must be uploaded at time of enrolment.

MEA401 – Inspect Aircraft Structure is a prerequisite for being awarded MEA405. MEA401 will be assessed on course for those who do not hold it.
