Aviation Australia partners with Learn2Fly to train Australia’s next generation of pilots

Future pilots cleared for take-off

Aspiring pilots pursuing a career in one of Australia’s most in-demand industries now have access to a new training opportunity in Canberra, following the announcement of Aviation Australia’s new partnership with Learn2Fly.

The collaboration will deliver nationally recognised qualifications – AVI50222 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane) and AVI50519 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) – providing students with the skills and hands-on experience required to become commercial pilots.

The new partnership enables eligible students to complete their training in approximately 12 months with access to VET student loans (VSL), and is an exciting announcement for Aviation Australia as they continue to expand piloting programs across the country.

Aviation Australia Head of Pilot Training Captain Tim Holland BAv FRAeS said the partnership would create an exciting new pathway for Canberra students into one of Australia’s fastest-growing industries.

“This partnership combines Aviation Australia’s nationally recognised training with Learn2Fly’s practical, industry-focused flight training to produce graduates who are ready for their first commercial aviation roles,” he said.

“The aviation industry is experiencing significant demand for qualified pilots across regional, charter, specialist and commercial operations, and we are proud to be creating a pathway that equips students with the skills and confidence to enter the workforce.”

Learn2Fly Chief Executive Officer Andrew Scheiffers said the program had been specifically designed to prepare students for real-world aviation careers.

“While many people dream of becoming airline pilots, every pilot begins their career flying light aircraft and building the experience needed for future opportunities,” said Mr Scheiffers.

“Learn2Fly focuses on training students in the types of aircraft they are most likely to fly in their first professional roles, ensuring graduates are job-ready from day one.”

“Through our partnership with Aviation Australia, students can now access nationally recognised qualifications and access to VET Student Loans (VSL), making this career pathway more accessible than ever before.”

Prospective students are encouraged to enquire about the opportunities now available through the partnership, with strong demand expected for upcoming intakes. More information about this opportunity can be found at aviationauatralia.aero and learn2fly.com.au

Learn2Fly will also showcase the new partnership and training pathway at the Canberra CareersXpo on Wednesday, 5 August, providing prospective students with the opportunity to learn more about careers in aviation.
