Pre-Apprenticeship Courses

Train with the largest CASR and EASA Part 147 approved Maintenance Training Organisation in Australia.

Our aeroskills pre-vocational courses provide the essential training required to begin a career in aircraft maintenance engineering. Our instructors are highly experienced professionals from Commercial and Defense aviation and aerospace industries.

Aviation Australia holds funding approval with the Queensland Government for pre-vocational training in the below qualifications:

These Certificate IV Aeroskills courses are designed to ensure that graduating students will leave apprenticeship-ready. We deliver the essential pre-apprenticeship, underpinning vocational theory training towards Certificate IV qualifications in Avionics, Mechanical and Structures. This gives students the basic skills and knowledge to move directly into an apprenticeship or traineeship to continue on their pathway to becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) or Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME).

The pre-vocational training components are aligned to CASR Part 66 requirements. This allows students to not only complete training towards a vocational outcome, but in addition, achieve a CASA Certificate of Recognition for Part 66 examinations; which can be used towards a future Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) outcome.

FAME Program

We're excited to announce the launch of our FAME (Female Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) program which will be embedded into the Certificate IV in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering courses from 2022. FAME is designed to support and nurture our future female aircraft maintenance engineers as they build their careers in a traditionally male-dominated field.
